Well, I don’t think anyone saw this coming.
The Walt Disney Company announced plans to acquire Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion today. Under the deal, The Mouse will soon own the franchises 5,000 Marvel characters including some soon to be launched.

When ‘X-Men’ was released in 2000 it rejuvenated the entire comic-to-film adaptation phenomenon. Since then, the practice has been refined over the years (Batman Begins, V for Vendetta, Iron Man, etc) ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ takes it one big step back.
