Who didn’t love “Toy Story 3?”

Critics praised the Pixar tale so much that it has received the Golden Tomato Award for the best-reviewed film of the year. The award is presented annually by the website RottenTomatoes.com, which compiles reviews from critics to measure the percentage of favorable critiques. “Toy Story 3″ received positive reviews from 99 percent of critics, making it the best-reviewed film in wide release of 2010.

“Toy Story 3″ beat out “The Social Network,” which got a positive-review score of 97 percent and took the Tomato in the drama category.

Other Golden Tomato winners announced Tuesday include the rebooted Western “True Grit,” the Banksy documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop” and “Last Train Home,” a documentary about Chinese migrant workers.

  • American Idol, perhaps looking for the next Justin Bieber, has lowered the entry to 15 next season.
  • Brooklyn Decker won the Esquire readers Sexiest Woman Alive contest. The SI model routed Heidi Klum in the final. The mag will make its pick later in the year.
  • True Blood, drawing smash ratings in season 3, has been renewed for a fourth.
  • EW reports that Charice will have a recurring role on Glee next season.
  • Lisa Kidrow‘s Web Therapy series has become an iPhone app.
  • The Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World soundtrack will include four Beck-composed songs that will be attributed to the title character’s fictional band, Sex Bob-Omb. Beck played the music, and cast members (including Michael Cera) contributed vocals.
  • Amanda Bynes says she’s retiring from acting — at age 24. We don’t buy it.

You can tell big the giant 3D “3″ that the CGI technology has improved quite a bit since the original Toy Story..

Some footage and the trailer of Toy Story 3 was screened last week at Disney’s D23 expo, but us common folk have not been able to lay eyes on it yet.

According to those who were there, Toy Story 3 follows 18 year old Andy who is now getting ready to go off to college. He decides to only take one of his childhood toys, Woody, and empties the rest of the gang into an black bag for storage. One thing leads to another and that black bag full of Woody’s pals is about to go out into the garbage and Woody makes a last ditch effort to save them.
