Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are back to their wicked ways, and we’re starting to get goosebumps.
FX president John Landgraf on the network’s new dark drama from the men who created “Nip/Tuck:”
American Horror Story is a wildly brilliant original series. Ryan and Brad are evil geniuses.”
American Horror Story, due in October, will star Dylan McDermott (“The Practice”) and Connie Britton (“Friday Night Lights”) as a couple who move their family from Boston to Los Angeles to, as FX put it, “reconcile past anguish.”
The drama also features Oscar-winning star Jessica Lange (“Tootsie,” “Blue Sky”) in her first regular TV series role, along with Frances Conroy of “Six Feet Under”
Back in February, when FX announced the pilot, Falchuk said:
We knew this project was perfect for FX. That network put itself on the map for its big, bold, some might say slightly twisted shows, and the creative freedom we had on NIP/TUCK was incredibly liberating. John [Landgraf] immediately got what we were trying to do, which was bring the horror genre to television but with our own subversive sensibilities.”
