
Seems NBC has faith in “Life.” The network has announced that the second-year drama, starring Damian Lewis as a formerly imprisoned LAPD detective, will get two weeks of double airings. It will follow “Heroes” on Monday, Sept. 29 and Oct. 6 in addition to airing in its normal 10 p.m. Friday spot. In case you missed season one, the DVD comes out on Sept. 2.

All Oprah, all the time.
Oprah Winfrey is getting her own TV network. It will be called OWN (for Oprah Winfrey Network) and will debut next year in nearly 70 million homes. It will replace the Discovery Health network.
This is an evolution of what I’ve been able to do every day. I will now have the opportunity to do this 24 hours a day on a platform that goes on forever.
Oprah’s media empire already includes her top-rated TV talk show, a magazine, a satellite radio network, a Web site and TV movies.
