Sofia Vassilieva is one of the few “child” stars that I always thought showed promise of a lasting career in Hollywood. In the second episode of the 6th season of Medium (now on CBS) Allison suspects that Ariel (Sofia Vassilieva) is possessed by the spirit of a murdered stripper who is seeking revenge on her killer. Why she has a Claire Danes haircut and covered with blood? I have no idea. But I will be watching.

The networks are unveiling more mid-season TV plans. Some highlights:
The CW
– “Reaper” returns March 17 (Wednesday at 9 p.m.), paired with “90210.”
NBC
– “Medium” returns Feb. 2 (Monday at 10 p.m.), following “Chuck” and “Heroes.”
– “ER” ends March 12.
– “Kings,” a modern variation of the David-and-Goliath story, takes “ER’s” place on March 19 (Thursday at 10).
– An hour-long “Office” will air after the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.
CBS
– “Flashpoint” returns Jan. 9 (Friday at 9 p.m.), between “Ghost Whisperer” and “Numbers.”
– “Harper’s Island,” a 13-episode serialized mystery set on a secluded island off the coast of Seattle, debuts April 9 (Thursday at 10 p.m.)
