- Mitch Albom‘s new novel The Time Keeper comes out Aug. 28. The Time Keeper is about the legend of Father Time. In Albom’s version, however, Father Time isn’t an old man, but a young boy who becomes the inventor of the world’s first clock.
- Aaron Sorkin will write the script for a film about Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
- Carrie Underwood‘s Blown Away is the No. 1 album on iTunes.

Paris has been cast in a film based on a new children’s book, “Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys,” which is in early stages of development. We wish her well.

Put down those camcorders, kids. FOX has found their fourth judge to replace Paula Abdul. Sounds about right… Female, friendly, famous. I never stood a chance…. (sigh).
“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on AMERICAN IDOL,” said DeGeneres. ”I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.”
The new season hits the tube January 2010.
