Eastwick cast thumb 550x382 21029 Another One Bites The Dust: ABC Cancels Eastwick
Boo.

I kinda liked where this show was going, but I guess everyone else disagreed with me. Including ABC. The network has decided not to order any more episodes of “Eastwick” past the initial 13, effectively canceling the series.

Oh well, hopefully Lindsay Price will get a new show soon.

v Elizabeth Mitchell The Look Of A Winner
Big “V” debut tonight (8 p.m., ABC), and one of the big draws is “Lost‘s” Elizabeth Mitchell as FBI agent Ericka Evans. Mitchell is all over EW, including an engaging online interview. This is what she said about her looks:

“I am very benign-looking. I’m somewhat like a golden retriever: It’s not hard to look at me. I’m perfectly fine. It’s not like things jut out and make you nervous. But the lovely thing about being so pale and having such pasty features is that I can look like pretty much anything, which is nice.”

v liberty Skys The Limit
Forget billboards and the sides of buses. ABC will promo “V,” its upcoming alien-invasion drama (Nov. 3), in the sky. Starting Friday, skywriters will create giant V’s across the sky at 26 U.S. landmarks, such as the Statue of Liberty and the Capitol Records building. Joyhog Headquarters, we hear, is another possibility.

Cue up the Coasters’ “Yakity Yak” as we check out what ABC newswoman Diane Sawyer told Capitol File magazine when asked:

What have been the biggest changes you’ve observed in television journalism?

“Three networks (once) controlled a sense of informational priority in American, and it had a reassuring consistency. Now we’re on a giant planet of non-stop yakking – all of us, all the time – and we’re redefining what it is to be informed. And the traditional sources are no longer the defining ones.”
