ABC, with a new boss Paul Lee, is pretty much wiping the slate clean for fall.

It canceled Brothers and Sisters, V, Detroit 1-8-7, Mr. Sunshine, No Ordinary Family, Off The Map and Better With You.

Body of Proof and Happy Endings, two midseason shows, are coming back.

ABC is adding 12 new series — seven dramas and five comedies — to its 2011-12 schedule.

Charlie’s Angels – A modern take on the 1970s series starring Annie Ilonzeh (Melrose Place), Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood) and Rachael Taylor (Grey’s Anatomy) as Charlie’s (Robert Wagner) new Angels.

Last Man Standing — Tim Allen deals with a world increasingly dominated by women. Nancy Travis (So I Married an Axe Murderer) co-stars. Jack Burditt (30 Rock) wrote the pilot.

Pan Am — A sexy soap about stewardesses and pilots set in the 60s. Some of the characters live double lives as spies. Christina Ricci. Written and produced by Jack Orman (ER).

Apartment 23 – Midwestern girl (Dreama Walker, The Good Wife) moves to New York, where she finds herself living with her worst nightmare (Krysten Ritter, Breaking Bad). James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek) co-stars as himself in his first series comedy role.

Good Christian Belles – A former high school “mean girl” (Leslie Bibb, Popular) returns home to Dallas after her marriage ends in scandal. Kristin Chenoweth (Glee) and Annie Potts (Designing Women) also star.

ABC Patches Trouble Spots

abc logo ABC Patches Trouble Spots
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. That seems to be ABC’s philosophy with its new fall schedule. New shows in time slots where last year’s ventures failed to click.

Highlights:

* The replacements – Cop drama “Detroit 1-8-7″ replaces “The Forgotten” (10, Tues.); legal drama “The Whole Truth” replaces “Eastwick” (10, Wed); “My Generation,” about a high school class 10 years later, replaces “FlashForward” (8, Thurs.); “Body of Proof,” with Dana Delany as a medical examiner, replaces “Ugly Betty” (9, Fri.); relationship comedy “Better Together” replaces “Hank” (8:30, Tues).

* Family ties – Interesting superhero drama “No Ordinary Family,” starring Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz, will take on Fox’s “Glee” Tuesdays at 8.

* Wait List – “V,” the latest Shonda Rimes medical series “Off The Map” and “Mr. Sunshine” with Matthew Perry are being held until midseason. ABC plans to air “V” uninterrupted. “Off The Map” will take over for “Brothers and Sisters” on Sundays.

* On The Move — “Cougar Town” is expected to move to Mondays when “Dancing With The Stars” shortens to 90 minutes, opening a slot for a new comedy after “Modern Family.”

networks The 2010/11 Television Upfronts Preview
Upfronts aren’t till next week but the networks have already released most of the details for the upcoming season. Here is a preview of what to expect next week.

FOX

  • Running Wilde has been making the biggest waves at FOX. Arrested Development star Will Arnett plays a rich Beverly Hills jackass who falls for do-gooder Keri Russell.
  • Keep Hope Alive is Greg Garcia’s (My Name is Earl) new show about a single dad raising an kid while the one-night-stand mother’s on death row. I’m intrigued..
  • RideAlong is the new cop drama from The Shield creator Shawn Ryan. Expect it to be like The Shield.
  • Lone Star has a lot of people around Hollywood buzzing. Jimmy Wolk (being described as a young George Clooney) plays a Texas con man juggling two wives.

NBC

  • Love Bites is from Sex and The City’s Cindy Chupack. Chances are it involves single woman who collect shoes and sex stories.
  • The Event is a “24 Style” thriller chronicling.. an event.. from multiple points of view. That, and Blair Underwood plays the President.
  • Undercovers is J.J. Abrams new project that NBC just spend a butt load on. Abrams directed the pilot (first time since he directed the pilot of LOST) which is about a married couple who are re-activated as CIA agents after years of retirement. I’ll bite.
  • Garza Outlaw is Jimmy Smits new show about a Supreme Court justice who returns to private practice. I’m already at the edge of my seat…
  • Kindred is Kathy Bates’s return to television. It’s a David E. Kelley legal drama. What!
  • Outsourced adds to NBC’s already impressive line of comedys about an American running a call center in India. Hmm, I’m listning..

and now the rest….
