As with film, the TV side was a triumph for female-led shows. The Handmaid’s Tale won Best Drama, the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel took Best Comedy and Big Little Lies grabbed Best Limited Series. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association also gave its stamp of approval to a number of recent Emmy winners, including Handmaid’s Tale, Big Little Lies, Nicole Kidman, Elisabeth Moss and Sterling K. Brown.
