1. Neil Patrick Harris will star on Broadway in the spring as the gender-bent rock chanteuse in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

2. Tony Hawk is donating his first skateboard to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

3. Frank Langella will play King Lear at Britain’s Chichester Festival Theatre this autumn and then take it to the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York early next year.

4. British visual artist and filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson has been signed to direct the movie version of 50 Shades of Grey.

5. Elizabeth Taylor‘s first wedding dress is up for sale. Taylor was 18 when she wore the gown to marry hotel heir Conrad “Nicky” Hilton Jr. in May 1950.
