Zagat’s annual Fast-Food Survey is out. And this is what the taste buds of the 10,554 voters said.

Most Popular: Subway (mega chain, 5,000-plus stores), In-n-Out Burger (fast-food chain), Cheesecake Factory (full service), Starbuck’s (quick refreshment).

Top Overall: Wendy’s, In-n-Out, Cheddar’s, Caribou Coffee.

Despite In-N-Out’s wins in Most Popular, Top Overall, Top Food and Top Service, it failed to win Fast Food Best Burger. Strangely, it ranked fourth behind Five Guys, Wendy’s and Burger King. Red Robin won Full Service Best Burger, ahead of Applebee’s, Chili’s and Ruby Tuesday.

Other notables: Best Fries (McDonald’s), Best Fried Chicken (KFC), Best Fish (Long John Silver’s), Best Coffee (Starbuck’s), Best Milkshakes (Steak ‘n Shake), Best Ice Cream/Custard (Rita’s Italian Ice), Best Breakfast Sandwich (McDonald’s, Best Salads (Wendy’s), Best Wings (Buffalo Wild Wings), Best Pasta (Olive Garden), Best Sandwiches (Firehouse Subs), Best Desserts (Cheesecake Factory).
