Los Angeles Is Open For NFL Business
September 29th, 2012 | Posted by in SportsThe Los Angeles City Council approved AEG’s Farmers Field downtown stadium project as expected on Friday… now comes the big question. Which NFL team(s) wants to relocate to America’s second-largest city.
Raiders, Chargers, Rams, Bills, Jaguars. Those are the five teams that have been mentioned as possibilities to bring back the pro game to L.A. after a 17-year absence. Or maybe the NFL will expand (although it has the perfect number of teams in 32.)
Farmers Field will also be a player in the new college football post-season.
The projected $1.2-billion, 72,000-seat facility, which is being billed as the most environmentally friendly stadium in NFL history, will further establish downtown Los Angeles — home to the Lakers, Clippers and Kings — as a professional sports powerhouse.
