So What’s Lady Gaga Been Up To? Take A Look
August 5th, 2012 | Posted by in Film | Music | Pop CultureWhen she hasn’t busy tweeting with the U.S. Olympic gymnasts, Lady Gaga has been promoting her upcoming third studio album, new fragrance and movie debut.
Gaga announced via Twitter that the title of the album due early next year is “ARTPOP” (all CAPS) as foreshadowed by the new tattoo on her left forearm. The words in Gaga’s Instagram post suggest lyrics to a song.
Lady GaGa posted on her social network LittleMonsters.com:
ARTPOP could mean anything. Op Art was a movement in the ’70s that is still alive now. [ARTPOP] is the music I’ve been making since [The Fame].”
On tour, Gaga has performed a new song that “may or may not” be on ARTPOP, a piano ballad called “Princes Die.”
Lady Gaga has released the second ad for her first fragrance “Fame,” which debuts in the U.S. in September.
Some scent details:
Fame is composed in an unusual way; the fragrance does not respect the pyramidal structure of the composition, but uses so-called “push-pull technology” by which the ingredients are mixed to highlight different aspects of each fragrant note at the same time, without any hierarchy.
The fragrance is built on three main accords: dark accord, sensual accord and light accord. The dark accord includes poisonous flower Belladonna and incense, which evolve into the sensual and opulent wave of honey drops, saffron and apricot. A floral veil of Sambac jasmine and tiger orchid embody light and beauty.
The liquid of the perfume is also innovative—it is colored in black but becomes invisible when it touches the skin.
This is the first ad. Both ads were shot by “Alejandro” video director and fashion photographer Steven Klein.
Gaga’s message:
Fame is an illusion. If you really want it, anyone can have it.”
The perfume, which was launched in Japan on Aug. 1, is made by Coty.
Gaga is making her movie debut in director Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete Kills,” due out in 2013.
Last week, Rodriguez tweeted:
I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!
“Machete Kills,” the second film in a trilogy, stars Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Alexa Vega, Zoe Saldana, Mel Gibson, Vanessa Hudgens and Charlie Sheen.
“Machete Kills” will pick up with the title character mourning his lost love. He is then recruited by the U.S. president (Sheen) to take down a cartel leader before he fires a missile at America.
