What better actress than the fascinating, unpredictable Chloe Sevigny to play the pre-op transsexual contract killer in the British six-part drama “Hit & Miss,” which debuts July 11th on DirecTV.

EW gives the series from Paul Abbott (“Shameless”) a B+. “Hit & Miss” is a family drama as well. Sevigny discovers she has a child with her former lover. She struggles between caring for her newfound family and maintaining her job as an assassin.

BTW, in transgender movie news… “Common Gender”, Bangladesh’s first film dealing with transgender people (often known as hijras) has become a surprise hit in India. The movie is about a love affair between a transgender person and a Hindu boy.
