Notes after the jump:
- Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing” anchors an hour of comedy on Tuesday. “Man Up” will air at 8:30.
- Wednesday’s comedy block has “Suburgatory” at 8:30 after “The Middle” and “Happy Endings” at 9:30 after “Modern Family.” “Cougar Town” is being held until midseason.
- New dramas: “Revenge,” a soapy retelling of the Count of Monte Cristo, gets the Wednesday at 10 slot. “Charlie’s Angels” will lead off Thursday nights. “Once Upon A Time” and “Pan Am” join “Desperate Housewives” on Sunday nights. ”Good Christian Belles,” “The River,” “Missing” and “Scandal” are being held until midseason.
- ABC’s Paul Lee on the overall escapism theme in ABC’s crop of new shows: “It’s a time in which we’re looking for pure entertainment. It’s a balance between comfort and escapism.”
