“Transformers” director Michael Bay received little praise for his work… but he sure reeled in the bucks. Bay topped Vanity Fair magazine’s inaugural list of the top earners in Hollywood in 2009.

Emma Watson was the highest woman on the list at No. 14. The only other woman in the Top 20 is actress Cameron Diaz.
