Elvis is alive and well in Las Vegas. Well, sort of. “Viva Elvis,” the new Cirque du Soleil show, opens with great anticipation Friday at Aria, the lavish CityCenter hotel. Unlike “LOVE,” Cirque’s Beatles tribute, “Viva” is more about the music than the circus. Executive producer Stephane Mongeau told USA Today:
“Our responsibility was to develop something that would look like what Elvis might do were he performing now. It’s not a show about Elvis. It’s a show with him.”
