We like the way Marvel’s “Thor” movie is shaping up. The incomparable Kenneth Branagh was named director for the May, 2011 adaptation of the Stan Lee-Jack Kirby comic classic, and now the cast is coming together nicely… with Aussie Chris Hemsworth (”Star Trek”) as the God of Thunder, Tom Hiddleston as the evil Loki, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, the nurse Thor falls for when he’s banished to Earth. Maybe, best of all, Sir Anthony Hopkins has recently been cast as Odin, King of the Norse Gods and Thor’s daddy. Filming is set to begin in January.
