Be careful what you dress up as for Halloween if you decide to go trick-or-treating at the Vatican. The Catholic Church issued a warning through its official newspaper, declaring that Halloween “has an undercurrent of occultism and is absolutely anti-Christian.” It warns parents not to let their kids dress up as ghosts and goblins. It wants to direct the meaning of the feast “towards wholesomeness and beauty rather than terror, fear and death.”
