Jay-Z, who will perform “Empire State of Mind” with Alicia Keys at Game 1 of the Phillies-Yankees World Series Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium, says hip-hop is alive and well in an interview with ABC.com:
“I think the death of hip-hop is just very premature and wildly exaggerated. There’s always room for poets. Hip-hops and emcees are poets. There can never be the end of poets, that’s just impossible.”
