Kiss should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and now the popular band will finally get the chance. Snubbed for the past decade (it was eligible in 1999), Kiss is among 12 nominees for the class of 2010.

Gene Simmons said last year:

“There are disco bands, rap bands, Yiddish folk song bands in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but not Kiss. I believe we have more gold records in America than any other group, but it’s OK.”

Other first-time nominees include LL Cool J, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies and songwriter Laura Nyro. Second-chance nominees are Donna Summer, Darlene Love, ABBA, the Chantels, and the Stooges.

Five make the cut. Who would you choose?
