Sad news. Maura Tierney has officially dropped out of the upcoming NBC series “Parenthood” due to her ongoing breast cancer treatment.
Production was put on hold back in July for 8 weeks when the tumor was found.
“Parenthood” is based on the 1989 movie starring Steve Martin and will debut midseason. Tierney’s role is expected to be recast.
