• Andy Richter will be reunited with Conan O’Brien on “The Tonight Show.” Richter will be the show announcer and contribute to comedy sketches when O’Brien succeeds Jay Leno on June 1.
  • The CW has renewed six series: “Supernatural,” “Smallville,” “One Tree Hill,” “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” “America’s Top Model.” Pilots for “Melrose Place” and the “Gossip Girl” spinoff should also make the lineup. The status of “Privileged,” which deserves a second season, is in doubt.
  • “Watchmen” premiered in London to mixed reviews on Tuesday. Tom Carson has an excellent piece on the comic book’s transition to the big screen in GQ.
  • “Spider-Man” Turn Off The Dark,” the highly-anticipated musical directed by Julie Taymor with music and lyrics from U2’s Bono and Edge, has a Broadway opening date: Feb. 18, 2010.
  • Freida Pinto (“Slumdog”) had joined the cast of Woody Allen’s next untitled project, along side Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins.
