Britney Spears and the MTV Video Music Awards were both big winners on Sunday. Spears won three awards, the first Moonmen of her career, and made viewers forget her debacle at last year’s show. The telecast also rebounded, it averaging 8.4 million viewers, its biggest total since 2004, and up from 7.1 million last year. Whether Britney deserved the prizes (recount!) and the bland and unfunny telecast rated the audience… that’s another story. But I liked watching Lauren Conrad’s breasts bounce around in her little white dress.
