‘Barricuda’ Makes Waves

Sep 5th, 2008 by James K Filed Under News

Heart singers Ann and Nancy Wilson didn’t like it when the band played “Barricuda,” their 70’s hit, as Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin took the stage for her acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul on Wednesday. Alaska govenor Palin got the nickname “Sarah Barracuda” for her feisty play on the basketball court in high school. The Wilson sisters said a “cease-and-desist” letter has been sent to the Republicans asking them not to use the song. C’mon, have a heart. It’s the perfect song… and now people are inspired to listen to your music again.
