590 natasha bedingfield The Best Song of Summer (2008) Is...
With Labor Day weekend over and summer slipping away, it’s time to make the call — what is the best song of summer 2008. Tough choice. There was no “Umbrella,” the undisputed winner last summer. “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry topped the charts but did anyone really like that song. Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” was distinctive but the serious lyrics sunk the melody. Time magazine’s Josh Tyranigiel, one of the country’s top music critics, picked Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long.” Nah. I’m taking Natasha Bedington’s catchy “Pocketful of Sunshine,” just barely over Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love.” So what do you Joyhoggers say?
