How’s this for diversity on reality TV. The new season of the CW’s “America’s Next Top Model” will include Isis, the show’s first transgender contestant. Isis, 22, an aspiring model from Prince George’s County, Md., described herself to “US” magazine as “a woman born physically male.” Now will ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” be daring enough to feature its first same-sex couple? (The show unveils its new lineup on Aug. 25).

I think it’s great that someone in the transgender community has taken such a bold step. I’m hopeful that Isis will represent the transgender community in a positive light to all of America.
