Love everything about “Mad Men,” especially the music. “Flight 1,” the second episode of the second season, featured one of the most fascinating one-hit wonders of the 60s — “Sukiyaki” by Kyu Sakamoto. The Japanese song was No. 1 for three straight weeks in 1963. Original title: “Ue o muite aruko’ (too difficult for American audiences to remember and pronounce), it’s the tale of a lovestruck man who keeps his chin up and whistles so his tears won’t hit the ground. Check it out. BTW, “Mad Men” has released a Season 1 soundtrack, which features “I Can Dream Can’i I” by The Andrews Sisters and “On The Street Where You Live” by Vic Damone.
