Amy Acker, fabulous as Fred in “Angel,” has been cast in Joss Whedon’s upcoming Fox series “Dollhouse.” Whedon, who reported the news on his Website, said Acker will play Dr. Claire Saunders: “attractive, smart and a little sad. Looks after the physical well-being of the dolls.” Now I get the image of Acker as the unappealing lesbian “Girl in Blue Uniform” in “October Road” out of my mind.
