“Crash” is coming to television. Starz, a movie channel that is branching out into original series, plans to get the 2005 Oscar winner on the air by August. Paul Haggis, director, co-writer and producer of the racially charged movie, will serve as executive producer, along with Don Cheadle, who may reprise his film role as a police detective. The TV series will basically pick up where the film left off. “Crash” is the second best film Oscar winner to be made into a TV series. The first was “In the Heat of the Night” (1967, CBS). Starz launched two original half-hour comedies last week — “Head Case” and “Hollywood Residential.”
