At yesterdays Sotheby’s auction Amazon.com reportedly paid £1.95 million ($4 Million US) for the handwritten manuscript of J.K. Rowling’s Tales of Beedle the Bard. The book is of five wizarding fairy tales which was referenced in Deathly Hallows. One of only seven, the book is apparently being treated as important as the Mona Lisa or DaVinci’s sketchbooks.
You never will be able to read the book (apparently that would take all the spice out of the franchise), but you can stare in aw at Amazon’s pictures. Place you bets now on when this book will get stolen / become the center of the next “National Treasure” movie.
