The Weinstein Co. held a press conference in New York this week to tout their new Stephen King adaptation, “The Mist.” In attendance were director, Frank Darabont (who also helmed “The Green Mile” and “The Shawshank Redemption”) and Mr. King, himself. Apparently the ending in the novella differs from the one in the film. As for all the snarky bloggers out there who want to ruin the fun, King warns:
“Frank wrote a new ending that I loved. It is the most shocking ending ever and there should be a law passed stating that anybody who reveals the last 5 minutes of this film should be hung from their neck until dead.”
Oooh, snap! “The Mist” hits cinemas nationwide on 21 November. King’s new novel, “Duma Key,” comes out on 22 January 2008.
