Evan Rachel Wood can sing. Boy, can she sing. I first heard Wood’s marvelous voice on “Once and Again” (1999-2002), the terrific ABC family drama in which the kid played Jessie, the sensitive younger daughter. Her singing was a revelation. Wood, now 20, showed off her musical talent again in “Across The Universe,” performing Beatles songs “Blackbird,” “If I Fell,” and “It Won’t Be Long.” Music execs were impressed, and word is that the actress is close to signing a recording contract with Interscope Records. Marilyn Manson’s girlfriend is going to be a big star.
