The 80th Academy Awards® have announced today that a record 63 countries are sending their top films in to be considered as Best Foreign Language Film nominees. On the list are: “The Year My Parents Went on Vacation” (Brazil), “The Orphanage” (Spain, produced by Guillermo del Toro), and Romania’s “4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days,” which took home the Palme D’Or at Cannes this year. Tune in for the nominations on Tuesday, 22 January, 2008, at 5:30 a.m. PT to hear which countries hit the short list.
