ABC’s Dancing with the Stars filled its fifth-season dance card Wednesday morning with a record 12 contestants, a diverse lineup that includes a Spice Girl, an Emmy award-winning actress, a Las Vegas icon, a Cheetah Girl, an Indy 500 champion, an Abercrombie & Fitch model and a billionaire NBA owner.

The lineup for the new season, which begins Sept. 24:

Melanie “Mel B” Brown, 32, Spice Girls (“Scary Spice”) singer (pro partner: Maksim Chmerkovskiy);
