Out of the vast lot of teen oriented comedy’s, “Superbad” may just be the best ever made. Unlike other films, which I shall not mention, Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera), live outside the social stereotypes of the Hollywood high school film. Seth and Evan are, in fact, two of the most relatable characters living out the most common of dreams; the best night ever. Like “Dazed and Confused” and “Can’t Hardly Wait,” the entire film spans 36 short hours in which friendships are made and virginities lost. As they are forced to deal with their looming future at separate colleges, Seth and Evan live through one debauchery after the other as only the last night of High School can be. Beer, brawls and menstrual blood are only some of the things the duo encounter one their way to the party that they hope will change their lives. Co-starring writer, Seth Rogen, the brilliant Bill Hader, and newcomer Christopher Mintz-Plasse, “Superbad” will easily find its spot nuzzled between “American Pie” and “Old School” on DVD shelves across dorm rooms everywhere.
